TYCOON 360 · The complete guide
How to use TYCOON
TYCOON is a task marketplace for the music business. Workers claim paid tasks — translation, promo, stream team, street team, and services — submit proof, and get paid. Artists, labels & teams get their tasks posted through the Classifieds and monitor them to completion. This guide walks through both sides, step by step.

Start here
One account works for everything on TYCOON. The same sign-in lets you claim and complete tasks in the marketplace and request tasks of your own through the Classifieds. Which side you use depends on what you came to do:
Clients run the mirror image of that flow — request → staff review → settle → task posts → monitor — covered in full in section 07.
Your account
- 1Register. Create an account with your email and a password from the sign-up page. Every new account starts as a standard user account — there is no separate client or worker sign-up.
- 2Complete your profile. In Profile, add your display name and — if you want translation work — your languages and proficiency. Translation tasks are matched by language: you can only claim a translation task if its language pair matches your profile.
- 3Add your areas of expertise. Your profile expertise helps the platform present the right work; promo, stream team, street team, and services tasks are open to every account.
- 4Connect payouts early. You can claim work right away, but to get paid you will need the Stripe connection described in section 05. Doing it now means no delay when your first task is approved.
Find work: the marketplace
Open Marketplace from your dashboard. Every open task is listed with its category, budget, deadline, and — for translation — its language pair. Use the category filter to narrow the list to the kind of work you want: Translation, Promo, Stream Team, Street Team, or Services.
Open any task to read the full brief before you claim it. A task page always tells you:
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Brief | Exactly what has to be done, and any links or assets (for example the release link or artwork) the work is built around. |
| Proof required | The evidence you must submit — a live link, screenshots, photos, or a combination. If it is listed here, it is required. |
| Budget & currency | What the task pays, in the currency shown. This is the amount approved work is paid at. |
| Deadline | When the finished work must be submitted. Only claim what you can finish in time. |
| Languages (translation) | Source and target languages. The claim button is only available if they match your profile. |
Claim & do the work
- 1Claim the task. Press Claim Task & Start Working on the task page. A task can be claimed by one worker at a time — once you claim it, it leaves the marketplace and appears under My Tasks.
- 2Do the work as briefed. Follow the brief and the proof requirements exactly. For promo and stream team tasks, use your own real accounts — see the rules in section 08.
- 3Translation tasks open in the built-in editor: work field by field against the source text. Drafts autosave as you type, so you can leave and return without losing work.
- 4Watch the deadline. Your claimed tasks and their deadlines live under My Tasks. Submit before the deadline shown on the task.
Submit proof
When the work is done, submit it from the task page. Non-translation tasks use the proof form: paste the links to the finished work, add notes (where, when, what was done), and upload photos where the task asks for them. Translation tasks submit directly from the editor.
| Category | Typical proof |
|---|---|
| Translation | The completed translation, submitted in the editor. |
| Promo & Social | The live link to your post, story, repost, or content — plus screenshots where the task asks for them. |
| Stream Team | Screenshots showing the playlist add, library save, listening session, or follow, from your real account. |
| Street Team | Photos of the work in place — flyers at the event, posters at each location, materials dropped off — with the location named in your notes. |
| Services | The deliverable itself (transcription, tagged metadata, artwork, EPK, research) via link or upload, per the task brief. |
Review & payouts
Every submission is reviewed by TYCOON staff. If your submission is rejected, the reason is shown on the task page so you can see exactly what was wrong. If it is approved, the task moves to payout.
- 1Connect Stripe. Go to Payments in your dashboard and press Connect with Stripe. Payouts are processed by FKACO through Stripe, which holds your payout details directly — TYCOON never sees your bank information.
- 2Complete Stripe onboarding. Stripe will ask for the identity and payout details it requires. Until onboarding is complete and payouts are enabled, approved earnings cannot be sent.
- 3Track your money. The Payments page shows your payout history and totals per currency; each task's payment status is visible on the task and under My Tasks — from approval, to pending payout, to paid.
Disputes: TYCOON has no formal dispute or appeal mechanism. If you believe a review or a payout is wrong, the recourse is direct: email [email protected] — or, for a Classifieds request, message staff in your request thread, which stays open until the task is complete and paid out.

Classifieds: get a task posted
Artists, labels, and teams use the Classifieds to get work done on TYCOON. You do not post to the marketplace directly — you submit a request, TYCOON staff review it with you, settlement happens inside your request thread, and staff post the approved task. The thread then stays open as your monitoring window until the task is complete and the worker is paid.
- 1Open a request. In your dashboard go to Task Requests → New Request. Pick the category and task type (the same 23 types above) and fill in the form below.
- 2Staff review. You are emailed when staff act on your request. Approved moves to settlement. Sent back arrives with a written reason — edit the request and resubmit; you have up to 3 resubmits. Declined requests are closed with a reason.
- 3Settle. Staff send a payment link inside your request thread for the task budget plus the platform fee. Pay it — staff verify the payment with Stripe, and only then is the task posted.
- 4Monitor the run. Your thread shows the task's live status — claimed, submitted, staff-approved, paid out — and you can message staff in the same thread at any point.
- 5Completion. TYCOON pays the worker through the normal payout flow. When the task is approved and the worker has been paid, the thread closes and your request is complete.
| Field | What to provide |
|---|---|
| Title | A short, specific name for the job — e.g. “Flyers at First Fridays, Oakland”. |
| Category & type | Which of the 23 task types this is. This sets the marketplace category and the proof pattern. |
| Description | The full brief: what must be done, where, and any conditions a worker must meet. |
| Asset / link | The URL the work is built around — release link, artwork, source files — if the task has one. |
| Proof requirements | Exactly what evidence you want back. Leave it blank and the standard proof for the task type applies. |
| Amount & currency | The budget you are offering the worker. The settlement total adds the platform fee on top. |
| Deadline | When the finished work must be delivered. |
| Languages (translation only) | Source language and target language(s) for translation requests. |
Platform rules
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Real accounts only | Promo, engagement, and stream team work must come from real accounts you own and use. |
| No artificial streaming | Bots, click farms, loop rigs, and any artificial streaming method are prohibited. Stream team tasks are genuine listening by real fans. |
| Proof must be real | Links must be live and yours; screenshots and photos must show the actual work. Recycled or borrowed proof is rejected. |
| Meet the deadline | Submitting after the deadline risks rejection. Claim only what you can finish in time. |
| Translation quality | Translations are reviewed for accuracy and completeness against the source. Machine-pasted, unedited output is rejected. |
| One claim per task | A claimed task is reserved for its claimer. Do not attempt the same task from a second account. |
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| “This task has already been claimed” | Another worker claimed it first. Claimed tasks leave the marketplace — pick another task. |
| No claim button on a translation task | Its language pair does not match your profile. Add the language and proficiency under Profile, or choose different work. |
| My submission was rejected | The reason is shown on the task page. Compare your proof against the task’s Proof required line — that is the standard staff review against. |
| Approved, but not paid yet | Check Payments: payouts require a connected Stripe account with onboarding complete. If Stripe is connected and enabled, the task’s payment status shows where it stands. |
| My Classifieds request was sent back | Open the request from Task Requests, read the staff reason in the thread, edit the request, and resubmit. You have up to 3 resubmits. |
| My request was approved but the task is not live | Settlement comes first: pay the payment link in your thread. Staff post the task once payment is verified. |
| Reset link expired | Request a fresh one from Forgot Password — links are single-use and last one hour. |

Anything this guide does not cover — a payment that looks stuck, a request you need changed after approval, a dispute about a submission — email [email protected], or use Contact Us in the footer. For a Classifieds request, messaging staff inside your request thread is fastest, because the whole transaction is already there.
